Miroslav Potoma Biography:
Miroslav Potoma was born in 1962. He lives and works in Stročíne, Svidník, where as a schoolboy he attend art circles and participates in various art competitions. In 1986, he returned to his native village, where he again begins to form and participate in cultural life, not only in their community. Beauties of Nature presents his native county in Landscape Architecture. Uses of various techniques such as drawings, pastels, oil paintings and linocuts and participate in the county, through out the county, to the nationwide exhibition organized SPECTRUM FINE NIGHT, where he received several awards. Recent years the art effort tends mainly to naive art, which brings back memories of childhood village , in her everyday life, but also the charm of important customs, traditions and holidays. Painting on canvas, hardboard, glass and wood.
Artwork naive master approached and expatriates living in the USA, where his pictures adorn the covers of magazines expatriate. in 2009 involved 5.the year international festival of naive art in France VERNEVIL SUR AVRE, which represents the only Slovak Slovakia of 140 artists from all over and the world is right in the festival events. In 2010 he participated in the Biennial of naive art and art brut Poland - Slovak borderland Edward Sutor organized by the Association of Euroregion "Tatry" in Nowy Targ, where for his paintings / her work / gets first price and is recognized as a characteristic of current Slovak painter of naïve art. Miroslav become member of art clubs in Svidník, Stropkov Detvianska and artistic colony in Detva. In addition to his work exhibited in Slovakia he exhibits in Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and France. Painting is a hobby for him, and relaxing holiday.
