 Ismail Baba or 'Pak Mael' is one of Malaysian artist, was borned in 1951 in Kuala Selangor. His various experiences as a creative director in advertising agency and corporate events along with wide involvement in art communities, made him enjoys arts mostly Naïve art. Naïve art is a classification of art that is often characterized by a childlike simplicity in its subject matter and technique. While many naïve artists appear, from their works, to have little or no formal art training, this is often not true. Naïve art is now a fully recognized art genre, represented in art galleries worldwide. Now, Pak Mael is still active as a full time artist and producing his masterpiece at Kompleks Kraf in Tanjung Gallery Kuala Lumpur .
